Starting Rice Cereal

At his most recent doctor visit, the pediatrician recommended we start feeding solid foods. So this past week, we started Riley on rice cereal. The first day didn't go so well...

At first he was interested in something new


Then decided that new was not good!


I'm trying to talk him into it...he's not buying!



He never cried but just kept getting this horrible look on his face!


He finally took some into his mouth



Then decided it was great fun to spit it back out!


The second day somehow went much better and I think he has actually started to like it now that we have thickened it up a little more. Next week, vegetables!!






He got impatient when I tried to wipe the dribble off his chin instead of putting a spoon in his mouth


So he grabbed my hand and put the spoon in his mouth himself!
